PACT aims to help couples notice their reactions as they occur, and learn how to better address one another’s needs.

PACT quickly gets to the heart of what is happening with conflict and tension in the relationship, helping each partner truly see the other person. The PACT model assumes that each couple has the capacity for safety, security, and long-term happiness.

Sheri is has taken the Level II training in PACT, and participates in monthly case consults with Stan Tatkin.

The developmental model of couples therapy was developed by Ellyn Bader and Peter Pearson. It is based on three pillars: attachment theory, differentiation theory, and neuroscience (the impact of the brain/nervous system). This model explains normal and natural stages and struggles that growing couples encounter.

The developmental model provides a structure for couples therapy by identifying the developmental task, developmental stalemate, diagnosis and specific treatment interventions for each stage of development.

Sheri is currently training in Level One.

The EFT model uses attachment theory, and prioritizes emotion and emotional regulation as the key components of relational interaction.

EFT focuses on negative communication patterns, and takes direct steps to develop trust, create a more secure bond, and move the relationship in a positive direction.

Sheri has taken the EFT Externship.

The Somatic Experiencing® method is a body-oriented approach to the healing of trauma and other stress disorders.

Created by Dr. Peter A. Levine, the SE model is the result of multidisciplinary approaches, including stress physiology, psychology, ethology, biology, neuroscience, indigenous healing practices, and medical biophysics.

Sheri is currently trained at the Advanced Level of Somatic Experiencing.

Interpersonal neurobiology (or relational neuroscience) is an interdisciplinary approach that weaves research from a number of fields into a framework that examines the way the brain, the mind, and relationships interrelate.

Developed by Dan Siegel and Allan Schore, IPNB focuses on how the brain, mind are formed and how they function based on the interplay of relationship. Sheri is currently taking the Comprehensive Interpersonal Neurobiology Course.

The ACT model is based on mindfulness and values, with the aim of maximizing human potential to create a rich, meaningful life. ACT focuses on cultivating health and vitality through mindful values-based living while accepting that pain is a part of life.
